Herbs are the world’s oldest drug

In our country, it was mainly monks from other countries who taught the general public that the herbs are a herbal remedy that can support and help the body’s own resources when it comes to overcoming health problems.
Science has long tried to isolate, copy manufacture synthetically in artificial way and mix substances from herbs with varied results. However, one has rarely even come close to the effects of natural herbs. More and more scientists and scientists realize that herbs have a great value for man.
These flavors also help
Reduce the use of seasoning fats, especially for the foods that are fatty in nature. In fact, spices such as pepper, chili or oregano for vegetables, or even aromatic herbs such as basil and parsley for pasta dishes, allow you to season with less oil and obviously less butter. This strategy can also apply to fish that can be cooked in foil with thyme and marjoram and white wine or stewed with oregano or parsley, without the addition of oil.
In the summer, herbs are grown in the spice garden. If you lack space, it is excellent to grow spices in an ample, or why not grow spices in a plant wall?
Spice plants are also suitable for growing in hydroculture. In the winter, you can grow different kinds of spice plants indoors so that you can always have access to fresh spices at home.
How do I go about?
Start by taking a basic course in herb cultivation. This allows you to gain the necessary knowledge of methods for planting and care of herbs as well as methods for combating pests and when to harvest and dry the herbs.
Where to grow my herbs
When it comes to the ground, the extension will depend on how much you want to produce. If you are thinking of starting some crops, then cultivating in part of a garden or a balcony of good size will suffice. Another option is to rent a few square meters of land in a rural area near where you live.
Here are some easily grown herbs
Basil is a one-year herb if it is grown outdoors. It is available in many flavors and with different colors and shapes on the leaves. Basil becomes 20-30 cm high and thrives best in a wind-protected and warm position with even moisture in the soil. Perfect to grow in greenhouses, and you can advantageously grow it indoors in a pot where it is light. Basil is frost sensitive, so do not plant until the risk of frost is over.
Rosemary is a perennial spice plant and half bush, with amazing flavor and aroma. It is a drought-resistant sun lover surrounded by mystery ever since antiquity.
Parsley is, together with dill, our most common fresh herbs and there are both rippled and smooth-leaved parsley. The parsley is a two-year plant that gives the best harvest the first year. In really hot and drained places, it can also be perennial.
Dragon is a perennial spice plant that grows 60-80 cm high. There are both French and Russian dragon. French dragon has much better taste but is not as hardy as Russian. Dragon is used most fresh, but can also be frozen. The little liquorice in the dragon marries nicely with fish, eggs, chicken and lamb.
Mints are perennial plants with very good spreading ability. Because they spread easily with underground outlets, it should be cultivated with some type of root barrier, for example a buried bucket without the bottom. Grow in a separate pallet collar or in a pot. Then the coins are not a problem anymore and you can instead replace the weed stamp for appreciation.
Thyme is also the one perennial spice plant that becomes 10-20 cm tall. A dry and beautiful ground cover on dry soil. Can be grown in rockery in full sun, or in pots that are not watered so often. Thyme comes in many different flavors and variations, so try to plant several varieties of eg the garden timber and lemon thyme.
