SEASONAL APPRENTICE POSITION AT MEADOWSWEET ORGANICS

ABOUT US

Meadowsweet Organics is a 2.5ha market garden on the Falkland Estate in Fife producing organic certified vegetables, salads, medicinal and culinary herbs and cut flowers, which we sell via weekly farmers markets, wholesalers, small retail outlets and farmshops as well as a small vegbox scheme.

It was started in 2015 by David and Rosy, a young couple with a passion for making organic produce more widely available as well as creating a low impact system with high biodiversity.

We are now entering our 3rd growing season at Meadowsweet Organics and are expanding our production by installing a new 500m2 polytunnel to increase protected cropping, growing on a larger outdoor area as well as beginning to plant an orchard and increase biodiversity on the farm.

The farm is small scale and most work is done by hand, we are modeling many parts of our system on Jean Martin Fortier's Market Gardener model, also we use no animal imput into our system and are working towards a permaculture model in the future.
